Developing new models can be particularly costly, a reality that is usually reflected in their pricing. However, this rule does not seem to apply to Hyundai, which offers highly competitive price ranges across most of its lineup. This brings us to today’s topic: the most affordable SUV the brand has to offer this year.
It should come as no surprise that the model standing out as the most affordable SUV in Hyundai’s 2026 lineup is once again the Venue. Its starting price rises to $21,999, which is $700 more than last year. Once destination and preparation fees are added, the total price reaches $24,941, making it one of the most affordable SUVs on the market.
For that price, buyers get a surprisingly generous list of standard features. The 2026 Venue comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay—features that often require an extra charge elsewhere.
On the mechanical side, the Venue is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 121 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission, with power sent to the front wheels. While output may be modest, the setup remains consistent with the vehicle’s economical mission, delivering an average fuel consumption of just 7.9 L/100 km in the city and 6.9 L/100 km on the highway.
The Hyundai Venue is not only an accessible option for most buyers, but it is also a genuinely appealing one.
